It Has begun
I will say that I have not been on a bike for over 2 weeks so today I decided that it was time. So I took it easy. I rode for 30 minutes at a easy/steady pace. My legs were rubbery and I did sweat alot. I think some of that might be from the cold that I have been fighting, but at least I moved. Not much else to report.

Welcome and Getting down to business
Welcome to 2Jules and a bike, both JS and myself JG will be posting to this site so it will be changing constantly.
The New year is almost upon us and it is time to get going on training. I say this kind of tongue in cheek as I sit here coughing, sneezing and wheezing. I just hate colds. I have two major sports goals this year. The HyVee Tri and to do a Cross Race. My other goal is to lose weight, this is a very difficult task for me since I am a stress eater and for some reason everything stresses me out. I think I need to learn to meditate. UMMMMMMmmmmZZZZZzzzzz, I usually end up falling asleep. Maybe that is what meditating is all about catching up on your sleep. :).
I am going to work off of a couple of schedules for the Tri. One is a 12 week maint and basic fitness plan, the other is a 12 week training to an olympic tri. For the Cross races I am hoping that I will have enough fitness to be able to basically power my way thru. I always was a bully :).
I am excited to be sharing this site with JS. I think that we will be able to keep each other motivated. It is amazing how much help it can be to have someone there to keep shouting encouragement and advice.
Well time to go rest and hopefully get ride of this cold.
Happy New Year everyone, please be safe and May you find Peace in the New Year!

A NEW Year!
It is the end of December and time to set those goals!
Starting January 1st - TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN...as I would like to put the following on my schedule!
1) BRR ride
2) Pigman Sprint Tri, swim on a team for Hy-Vee Tri, and the Cy-Man Tri
3) Do a Mt Bike race or two
4) Possibly do Race Like a Girl series...we'll see how confident I am!
I'm hoping having all this on my calendar will make me work hard and get to that goal weight I've been trying for ever since I had Alexa! She's 2 now...time to get working!
Posting on this blog and "training" with my friend Julie will hopefully keep me motivated!
Wish me luck!
